2.1 or 5.1 speakers and any recommended sets?

I honestly don't have a good sound system for my computer.

I have a crappy old Sound Blaster PCI128 that my dad won off of eBay (I need a new one, when I surf the i-net and listen to music at the same time, I hear crackling noises...) and I have an Altec Lansing AVS300 system. 1 plastic subwoofer and 2 speakers, a left and a right. I have both speakers on top of my monitor, and that's it.

yeah but you're only 11. I didnt have good speakers when I was your age either :P
