Post by leathelanime » Mon Nov 04, 2002 7:16 pm

It looks Nice...but I say since she has the whole dual handgun thing I think they should of went with Real Time combat instead of turnbased...but im not complaining because I think the game is going to be great!

What Final Fantasy Crystal Cronicle? (or however it is spelled) yes I did many months ago and It will be cool...if it isnt short....I have the size of GC's disk because they cut the amount of space alot therefore makeing short games...but they can always go multidisc

Huh?

Super Smash Bros. Melee seems to contain alot of data!

I don't think many ports would be possible if it contains as little data space as you say it does!

Regardless, the Crystal Chronicle sounds OK, but I kinda lost faith in Square after I saw, and heard about Final Fantasy X, and then I lost all respect for them as a gaming company after I heard of Final Fantasy X-2.

Sorry, but that's how I see things.

Roke SSB is a So-Called fighting game...dont you think it is rather stupid to put a fighting game on 2 cd's? It has a story mode and Extras's trust me it doesnt take to much space to make a game like that

for the uninformed, the game data on GC disks are generally heavily compressed; and the GC allows for on-the-fly uncompression for use.

which means? that there is a lot more data on that miniDVD than you think.

on the other hand, most XBOX and PS2 games dont even take up 1/4 of the space available on the DVD, and all the data is uncompressed.

so if we put 2 and 2 together, we'll see that the space issue isnt such a big deal anymore.

the compressed data leaves slow down and pauseing errors also...I believe you've played the RE remake...and Hell if GC could really handle as much as you think...Why cant they handle RE on one disc?

simply because they work with the old resident evil engine
(time and money saving)
only improved grafics
but very slowdown.............ahhh you cant blame them it is still a great game

anyway i have great expectations for that new final fantasy gamecube game

maybe it will get the hype back.......they say it kinda play like zelda

no one blamed them But it is a fact that the GC cd's are low in space compared to ps2 and Xbox disc's
