Round Challenge
For round 3, you'll need to create a video that bridges the gap between modern and retro audio/ video sources (for ex: retro anime + modern song). Submissions will be judged on how well the sources work together and the overall strength of the pairing.
For the purpose of the round:
Retro is defined as footage or music released approximately 20+ years ago (before 2005). Sources that received HD remasters are allowed, but modern remakes, covers, or subsequent seasons are not considered "Retro".
Modern is defined as footage or music that approximately premiered within the last five years (after 2019). Sources that received modern remakes, covers, or subsequent seasons released within this period are allowed, but HD remasters are not considered "Modern."
Special MomoCon Prize Pack!
To celebrate 20 years of MomoCon, and the upcoming theme of its 2025 AMV Contest, the highest-scoring video will also receive a special prize pack and a free membership to the convention!
