What's With the Shitty Attitude

Post by Kaream » Thu Dec 10, 2009 4:06 am

Not gonna call out names But alot of people love to act like there superior or just have a Attitude for no reason at all..
Just 2 weeks ago i was banned form the irc chat room for a week because they said i was spamming by saying silly stuff, which is odd because everyone was doing teh same shit.

So i go back in the chatroom 1 week later, and i came as a guest.. And i guess they made a joke, as so did i. and they kept asking me who i am, i bothered not telling. and they kicked me out and Banned me from the Irc chatroom. I gotta say we have some F**ked up administrators. Just a recap, they kicked me out just for not telling them who i am.. I thinkthat's misuing your your power as the authority.

And i don't see why alot of people have a bitcy attitude to make themselves look cool on the internet. nuff said

If the other users was doing the same thing as well, then chances are they were banned too.

Now, to me it sounds like you weren't kicked out because you didn't reveal your name, but because you seemed to be ban evading, which you may or may not have been doing as there also seem to be some misinterpretation on the length of the ban.

Whichever the case, you could wait for an op from #AMV to clarify this. Another option would be to PM an op or email the administration which would get quicker and better response rather than posting it the forums and having non admins and ops like myself interfering.

Wow, your rendition of what happened is creative, at least.

03[21:28] * synGuest950 (~4b070319@synIRC-9886A7D7.dsl.pltn13.sbcglobal.net) has joined #AMV
[21:28] <kojima-naked> well have you tried practicing more?
[21:28] <_Sanchez_> No Im not mexican!
[21:28] <synGuest950> Hai people
[21:28] <ssgwnbtd> the VEVO videos are incompatible with sites that pull videos off youtube pages for now..
[21:28] <kojima-naked> we dont take kindly to your types in here synGuest950
[21:29] <synGuest950> U wanna know somefin?
[21:29] <Kariudo> yo también
[21:29] <_Sanchez_> 1+1 does not = 2?
[21:29] <Fire_Starter> 42
[21:30] <kojima-naked> 2 and 2 will always make *loud whining noise that somewhat ressembles the word 5*
[21:30] <Kariudo> synGuest: I like knowing things
[21:30] <synGuest950> Cant believe they only let me sign in as a guest
[21:30] <Kariudo> knowing things is [generally] good
[21:30] <synGuest950> I was banned from the chatroom for weeks
[21:31] <Kariudo> I can't imagine trying to read Arabic in IRC
[21:31] <_Sanchez_> copy pasta into babble fish and guess from there?
[21:31] <synGuest950> Aim is much better
03[21:32] * aesling sets mode: +b *!*@synIRC-9886A7D7.dsl.pltn13.sbcglobal.net
[21:32] <ssgwnbtd> I can't even copy paste arabic into anything to translate it
[21:32] <Kariudo> then again, those who can read/speak it can probably tell that one little squiggle from that other one little squiggle
03[21:32] * synGuest950 was kicked by aesling (Ban evasion? Kbai)

Yes, it was ban evasion, but, correct me if I'm wrong, you're new to IRC? Maybe you didn't realize you were doing it. If your original ban was supposed to be done with and you still couldn't log in, you should talk to the ops in the channel about it.

I don't remember the details of this ban. Shouldn't it have been up by now?

That said, ahem:

When an op tells you to stop doing something, you stop. That's not attitude. Usually when they tell you to stop, there's a reason for it.

Oh grow the fuck up and deal with it like an adult. Either shrug your shoulders and go 'yeah, I probably deserved that' or discuss it calmly and IN PRIVATE with one of the ops if you think you didn't deserve it. Christ, I never understood this arrogant how dare they ban me type attitude. If you add up all my bans over the years, I bet I've been banned for more time than you've spent on the org. You have nothing to whine about.

next time, just pm an op and ask for more information or discuss the ban in a civil manner. if you don't know who the ops are then post a civil message on the forum asking for one of them to contact you to discuss it. I'm not sure why you were banned for ban evasion since it looks like the week was up, but that's between you and aesling. Only thing i can think of was that she looked at the ban list since you looked suspicious (and also told us you were banned before) and noticed the same hostmark on the banlist, bam, ban. we have a list of permaban'd/long term ban'd people so if you don't identify who you are, we have to work more to figure out who you are. Not to sound too lazy, but it's a lot easier to just look at the banlist then to go through our forum looking for hostmarks. if you had changed your name or told them who you were, it might have been avoided... but again, that's between you and aesling.
