Warez are demos or some kind of some program (taken from shareware, freeware, etc), cracks and serials are used to get the legal demo of said programs (wares) to work.

In this context, we are talking about getting some program illegaly to work in your PC, of course.

Warez is not demos, its just a term for pirated software.
