the ftp server is taking me to a wrong page?

hi, when i type the ftp server into my address box, it always takes me to a page that says "it works". thats it. the ftp username and password box never shows up. all it loads is that page. even when i cancel the upload and try again nothing changes. am i doing something wrong? cuz im following exactly what the moonslayers guide says. also my ftp client filezilla isnt working either. itll process my vid for like a second, then start over from o bytes and transfer again, then start back at zero bytes again, never ending. maybe a bug? please help:)

If you just type the server name into a web browser, it's going to default to web browsing mode. (http)
You have to type ftp:// before the server name.
