I've recently (the last week or so) noticed a decrease in my ability to access local downloads. I can get any file other than MP4s. I don't have a pending pledge, I can get the other formats without any issues, but all MP4s show as 0/0 bitrate information. Does anyone know either what I'm doing wrong or what I need to do differently? Is this just because of the huge amount of VCA traffic? I've never had the problem in the past, but I'm having to look up videos on YouTube so I can place my nominations, and I know I'm not getting the true quality because of the medium.
Thanks so much,
Ari.

Is the problem that you can't see the file info for the vid, or is it a problem with downloading the vid? As far as blank bitrate info goes, that info just doesn't show up on the vid page for some reason. Have no clue about the technical reason why, I just know that it doesn't show up for some file types (like mp4) for some reason. But if you download it and play it with VLC (or related player that's NOT WMP), it should still play ok. If you dled it, and tried to play it with VLC and there's still a problem, there's probably something wrong with either the download or the file itself. Also, if you have 10 vids waiting star ratings, you can't dl any more vids until you give those vids stars.

I've had the bitrate info show before, but never really paid attention to what format it was. I neer use WMP (piece of crap) in fact, I've deleted it from my system. I'm not sure if the videos play or not- I don't download them if they show 0/0 bitrate info, because it seemed pointless to attempt to download something that wasn't ever going to be available. Thanks for the tips- I'll download them regardless of bitrate now, and see if I need to update the VCL player.
