Post by FrökenKatt » Tue Apr 03, 2007 1:35 pm

Hello :)
Please help me, I might be the biggest idiot over here but I really don't understands what's happening with my downloads. They just stops. They downloading a couple of kb then:nothing...This happends when I use the lokal download. I have never had this problem before. I tried to find info on the problem in the FAQ and forum but no luck :(

It used to happen to me a lot a few years back... You wouldn't happen to be on a heavily packet-shaped network, would you?

Well it's something your ISP would do. For example my university network is designed to prevent bittorrent from working, as a side-consequence some sites like this one will constantly drop downloads. There really isn't anything you can do about it aside from possibly using download manager software, but even that can be flaky at some points.

Thanks for the info :D
I don't think that it is my problem thou, because my network/connetction is the same as before :) But my family did get a router about a week a go (and since then many problems are showning up) so maybe that's the reason...

Yes, make sure the router isn't blocking the connection attempts (it sounds like that is the case). You need to figure out how to set the router up properly.
