A Type Of "Subscribe" Option?

Yes, I know it's stealing an idea from Youtube, but I think a type of subscribe option should be added.

Instead of having to continuously check whether or not a video is up, getting sent a little email as a notification would be nice.
(Example- A long awaited MEP or video that has been delayed, and reannounce and delayed again.)

A fan of a certain editor? Or maybe there someone you think has potential that you'd like to keep tabs on?

The ability to subsribe to a certain editor, AMV with a particular anime or artist (I think) would be an awesome addition.

If anything, I think it would make a nice option for those who donate.

(Comments anyone? (Oh, and sorry if this is a little hard to understand, I've been kinda medicated as of late))

This is yet another of those suggestions that falls under "fan management", which, if you'll look, has been on the site's To Do List forever.

It's just one of those things that everyone wants but no one ever gets around to actually implementing.

There is a way to keep track of your favorite editors, just add them to your journal buddies. They don't need to have a actual journal entry, just add their number in place of a member number who has a journal entry, and then click add. It'll show up as them having no entries, but the name will be there. Works great when your favorite amv list is over filled.

Hmmm... The site currently offers an RSS feed for the newest videos doesn't it? How tough would it be to be able to choose a list of members, and have a custom RSS feed based on their new videos? Seems like a simpler measure to get the functionality without having to implement the whole fan-management thing, which I'm not holding my breath for...

New videos and weekly star scale actually. I think its only for donators. If you are using Firefox, at the members main page you should see the live bookmark icon in the address bar.
