Favourite Editors List?
I did a search and i didn't turn up anything, so if this has been suggested before then i apologise. Although it wouldsurprise me if it hadn't already been suggested.
As we already have customisable favourite Anime and AMV lists, perhaps another addition would be a good idea. If we could select from all the editors on the org, say; our top 5 or 10 favourites, then the org could have another stat list: "Top Favourite Editors" (just like Top Favourite Videos)
That way, not just the creator's single videos would be recognised, but their entire range. It would be interesting to see who would reach the top and whether or not they could hold onto it.
The list could also be used as a substitute for deciding who is the VCA creator of the year, as all of the yearly votes for "top favourite editor list" could be tallyed and then either added to the VCA voting or just used on its own. (This is a more wacky suggestion, so i'm not confident that this will ever be used) However, the potential is there.
Well its just a suggestion, its not a necessity. Just think it might be cool. Thanks.

Two words: "fan management"
Two more words: "back burner"
That's a feature that's been suggested and expected for a looong time now. And that's where it's been for the last two years.

fan management is supposed to be more than e-peen masturbation. one idea for this system is to send alerts to everybody who is subscribed to a creator whenever that creator releases a new video.
this idea, as well as some other good ideas for the site, has not been implemented due to some issues in the site coding department.

What DWP said. As far as I know, this feature was always meant primarily to benefit us as fans, not to benefit us as editors.godix wrote:Yeah, because there isn't enough mindless fanboyism to make editors dick hard. We need this, think of the poor editors who won't have their daily ego boosting bullshit without it.

I think you're misunderstanding. I was refering to the 'top favorite editor' list crap. Fan management itself is a decent idea but turning it into yet another list to masturbate over isn't.Scintilla wrote:What DWP said.
