.avi Hates Me

Please point me in the right direction if this has been asked before.

Okay, whenever I DL vidoes that are .avi they don't work. Seemingly, I need a codec for this. Um... what? It says "to determine if this codec is codec is available from the Web, click Web Help."

...what?

I want to see this vid pretty badly, too. >_<
