how do i play them?

ok i have wmp and i can play mpeg files really good no matter what size they r but avi files or those divx, xvid files i cant see they just don't work it said i needed a certain codec so i downloaded this thing called avi codec pack so i can at least see the video now but now it runs to slow i can run wmp videos under the size of 30 mb but any higher its way too slow same with all the other ones. so what can i do to make the videos actually work some vids i really want to see but they dont work.

Get a better graphics card. Same thing happened to me with my old Direct 3D card (made for Windows 95, running in a Windows ME system), but once I got a new computer that had a decnt graphics card in it, they ran fine. Also, a boost in RAM wouldn't hurt either.

thanks i know i have a not so up-to-date grphics card and i need a new one anyway so thanks for the help!
