Star Score vs. Star Average

Ok, I'm confused. What is the differance between the Score and the Average? I'm just tring to figure out how an AMV can have an Average star rating of 4.18, but a score of 3.66.

The average rating is just that, a raw average of all the stars you have. The star score takes other things into consideration. It's weighted by how many stars you have (less stars lowers the score) and it also tosses out anyone who always gives the same rating to every video they download.

less stars shift you towards the site star average more (around 3.5 right now). if you have a star average below the site star average, the star score higher than the star average. if you have a star average below the site star average, the star score will be lower.
