Removing an AMV?

Post by Scandia » Thu Mar 10, 2005 7:12 am

This thread may be a repeat, but I guess it goes here better.

Can I remove an AMV that gets consistently low ratings that it does not deserve? I had no way to compress it without looking mediocre or having a file size of over 100 MB.

I just do not want people to make fun of me or my AMVs.

Why can't you compress it? If there is a good, technical reason why it can't be compressed to under 100MiB and still look good, then its possible to make exceptions to the 100MiB rule.

There isn't really any established guideline for doing this --- nor, do I think, has it ever been done --- but Kero certainly supports it (and so did Nago, btw). I'd suggest starting with which video it is, how you have attempted to compress it, and which parts (if it isn't completely obvious) are destroyed by the compression (for each method you've tried, if different). Make sure you have tried all the recomendations in the guides.
