Checksum information for local downloads

Post by Kasuga Ayumu » Sat Mar 05, 2005 9:22 pm

I was wondering if you could add the CRC32/md5/whatever checksum of locally hosted AMVs to the information box that appears when you hover the mouse cursor over the download link. That would provide an easy way to check if video you downloaded somewhere else and a catalog entry are really the same thing because you don't know the author of the AMV or suspect it might have been corrupted during the download.

How many people actually keep track of checksums, though?

We're actually already calculating it (for Kero) but it just needs to be displayed.
