Banners..?

Hey...didn't know where to put up this question about banners..so..

Well anyway..Can you use any picture you want to make a banner?
Is there any special rules about pictures origin or something...?

I heard somewhere here about that all AMV's can only contain anime from japan origin and such...
So just wonder if this rule is for banner pictures too?..

There's been many banners that don't involve anything close to anime. Although I can' think of any off hand that have actually been voted through.

I've seen very many banners containing anime from korea...and they won some prizes and stuff....and are seen up there on the screen..
well I don't know so much how banners work here....about the voting and stuff..
Anyway they are cool....but just wonder if it is alright to use anime from other contries than japan...?

Yeah. Banners don't have to contain only Japanese animation.
