new person forum

ive noticed lately that there are a load of new people posting on the general forum to say hi or something like that, why not just have a separate forum as a place to post that, or have that along with a off topic forum, although i can understand the not having a off topic one if it got into flaming, advertising inappropriate sites and similar content. but at the least the original seems like a good idea. a chance for those new to the site to meet with other creators, or those who use the forums. and maybe an edit button because im sure i screwed up somewhere along there,. before i post.

If you'll scroll down through this forum, you'll notice dozens of other requests for the exact same thing.

There *used* to be an Off Topic and OMGFIRSTPOST! forum, but they got abused and were removed from the site. They're not coming back, and that's more or less the end of story.

As far as the edit button, it's called 'preview'.

We used to have one (It's All About Me, which served as an introduction forum), and it was deleted along with OT.

Not deleted, as I'm sure AD might mention, but locked and hidden from the public. I believe they still technically exists as ghosts of the internet

They still exist on .org. I can see them --- so can all the mods, I believe --- and admins (Phade, AD, paizuri, and I) can even post to them
