delete your posts

i have seen on other sites where you can delete your posts if you don't like them could that work here?

If you don't like your post, you shouldn't have submitted it in the first place. Think before you speak, or at least preview it.

ya but sometime you see the posts and you think they are ok when you see them but then like 20 miutes later you think they suck

If you don't like the rules there are plenty of other forums on the internet.

Alex there is no need to be O_o overly blunt.

Char its part of the rules nothing anyone can do except the soon to be resigned Phade or the mods *shrug*

It's also a way for mods to make sure that they have evidence of wrongdoing. If someone posted stuff not allowed under the rules and deleted it before the mods took action, there'd be no proof that the post ever happened. That's one of the problems w/ LiveJournal, for example, you can delete stuff so easily.

If you think about it, if you get quoted or something aswell... also, it'd be easier to post things others could see and then delete it before a mod might get top you. Plus, having this rule instated means people tend to have to check their posts BEFORE posting, and not just post random junk.

Welcome to the site suggestion forum. This forum is for throwing out ideas on how we can make this a better forum, and having discussion on those ideas.

However, I agree with dokool, sort of.

I don't think we should be able to delate our whole post, but I'm still all for an edit button, with a box to explain why things were edited.
