replacing local downloads with a different codec
since my machines have been giving me issues about divx and xvid lately, I've turned to mpeg as my main choice for compression. my recent videos have been uploaded onto the local server as mpeg2, but I've realized that not everyone will be able to play mpeg2. is it possible to replace those files with mpeg1 copies, if I can get mpeg1s that look as good and aren't rediculously large?

Uh, I you're you're off someone in left field or something :pKalium wrote:That's probably not practical. The format is entirely up to the creater. Besides, converting would put quite a bit of processer load on the server.
He's just asking if he can take down the file he uploaded already, and put up different ones in their place.
As far as that goes, you can try asking Phade or someone about it, but I doubt they will do it. Who knows, maybe they will though.
