Anal clarification about sigs.

I understand the 2 images/one image and 2 lines of text/4 lines of text guidelines. And that an "image" is pretty much defined as 40 pixels in height and 600 in width.

This sucker is 60 pixels in height and 600 pixels in width. I don't really intend to add any text since all of the text/links I would use are in the sig already. (But since 60 is 3/4 of 80 wouldn't I have room for one more line?)

If I have one image that is shorter then 4 lines of text but larger then one defined "image" that's ok right?

Sorry for being so picky....I kinda like the sig. I want to be about to use it. But I also don't want a mod's love note in my sig (been there ) if it turns out I can't use it.

You could always just cut them in two and use code to reform them as one sig image. (I still don't get why they insist on it ebing this way rather than just one large one.)

Well, if your image weren't really four images connected together horizontally, I'd just suggest that you separate them vertically and post them that way. Actually, I still suggest that.

The reason the signature picture size was limited to 40 pixels high was because that's half the size of an avatar pic and it wasn't deemed necessary for a signature picture to be taller. Signatures should be just signatures, after all. When you sign things, what else do you besides your name and maybe your title? Do you write down your home address, phone number, e-mail, website, resume, medical history, grocery list, etc.? Granted, this is the internet, but that's the general philosophy we're following.

The reason two images of this size were allowed was so you could link your creator profile to one of the images and the other one could be to something of your choice (like your latest video). Now that the link to your site profile is now a mini-button, that reasoning isn't quite as sound. I'll bring this matter up to the other mods, but for now these are the rules.

Very well. I'll take it down....or at least edit it to size. I admit that the reasoning still doesn't make total sense to me since the image complies with the height limit (4 lines of text). But if the general preference in a sig is text over images I guess I can understand that.

Well I don't know about those others but my grocery list and medical history, yes.
