Well, if your image weren't really four images connected together horizontally, I'd just suggest that you separate them vertically and post them that way. Actually, I still suggest that.
The reason the signature picture size was limited to 40 pixels high was because that's half the size of an avatar pic and it wasn't deemed necessary for a signature picture to be taller. Signatures should be just signatures, after all. When you sign things, what else do you besides your name and maybe your title? Do you write down your home address, phone number, e-mail, website, resume, medical history, grocery list, etc.? Granted, this is the internet, but that's the general philosophy we're following.
The reason two images of this size were allowed was so you could link your creator profile to one of the images and the other one could be to something of your choice (like your latest video). Now that the link to your site profile is now a mini-button, that reasoning isn't quite as sound. I'll bring this matter up to the other mods, but for now these are the rules.
