new forum

Post by madmag9999 » Wed Dec 10, 2003 5:57 pm

since the off topic section was removed there is no place to post general questions about computers. like when u need help or something. so i think it would be a good idea to make a general computer forum for computer hardware and software questions not just video editing

ever tried www.google.com ? It can usually answer most simple tech issues like html (as you mentioned in your mod drop box post) in a quicker and more accurate manner than most people on a forum can.

The forum doesn't have to satisfy every need of the people who come here. I cant find out a recipie for a damn good mint cocktail but I can by searching the net for the right place to ask that question.

looking for the answer on google can sometimes be a pain and take quite a while. i remember phade saying that the GOT was a forum for stuff like pc help and some ppl used it for that. this html problem i have can wait a while for me to find the answer but some problems would be better answerd quickly and the forum can be quicker then looking for the answer online

Dude, yes, GOT was used for that. It got abused. Now it's gone. There is no place for that kind of topic anymore, because it has nothing to do with AMVs, hence it doesn't belong on this forum.

If we still had GOT, then Earthcurrent's drinking recicepie expertise would of been able to answer than I'm sure.

And ErMaC, what if the question was something along the lines of, "Would more RAM help premiere render faster?" ect ect

That would be a video software forum question since it has to do with video editing software.

I'm sorry if pointing out the obvious is being a nazi. Don't get upset because you choose a poor example to attempt to try to prove your point.

You sure you used enough hyphens in that post? Why don't you just calm down there. No need to start calling people Nazi's. I didn't call you any names or slaughter people because of their religion while rampaging across Europe bent on taking over the world based on the idea of "white supremecy". Just have a nice warm glass of milk and calm down.
