leaving messages in ppls journal

But that requires going to the Forum, finding that user, and sending the PM.

AFAICS, the main method of responding to journal post is to make a post in your own journal w/ the person's name in the title. This assumes that the person will read it, which may or may not be likely.

While the journal thing is cute, it's really kinda pointless w/o more functionality. Then again, if people want functionality, they should get Livejournals...
