For the last couple days, the first page takes a really long time, but after that it is smoother.

Yeah, it's mostly just the first page. Everything else loads normal..

Too many new people coming here. The server has to meet and greet each and every one of their computers before it feels comfortable enough to just let them waltz in like regular, established users, and that takes time.
