Some AMV contests are not listed in the "New AMV entry" form

Post by animefan1 » Tue Jun 20, 2017 2:24 am

2 of the ones my newer AMV's were finalists in, were Ronin-con out in LA (June 10-12) and Animethon in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada. (this coming weekend)

Plus, my "All You Need Is Host Club Love" AMV was a finalist at SpringfestNY '11 (I know, b/c I was there as a guest of honor, ^_^ and I asked them how the people reacted to the AMV. One of the staffers there said that there wasn't any big reaction one way or another. So, meh.

And lastly, my Anime Tattoos AMV was one of THREE finalists @ Setsucon's 2010 AMV contest. Again, I was there, doing one of my standup routines as well. Ok, thank you for everything and get back to me whenever you can.

If a particular contest isn't listed, that means that the coordinator never added it to the contest calendar. https://www.animemusicvideos.org/help/calendar/

You can either contact the coordinators of those events, and ask them to add their contests. Or you can add them yourself you like.

I tried adding them in myself, but the calendar option won't let me go back and add something from 2010 or 2011. Could you guys please fix this? Thank you.

You're only able to add conventions and contests listings for either the current calendar year or the following one. This may change in the future, but at the moment, there aren't any plans to change that restriction. You can always add that information to the comment section of your video information page if you like.
