It was intended as more of an "is discuoraged" than a ban.

Well I think the way posts in foreign languages should be handled is that people who can respond in that language feel free to do so through e-mail or PM or IM but not by replying to that post in the same language. However, if people know that other people are fluent, they can point the foreign posters in the right direction.

I think the main point of that rule is to have the forum be understandable by native English speakers. It's also kind of hard to moderate things when we don't understand what they're saying. =P
My favorite video: Grilled Steak Trigun I LOVE THE COPS! Rargh!

Why do I always have the most preposterous sigs???
My current favorite thread. I'm a huge fan of GA-JAMMING.

Ok paizuri, that sounds good to me, I think that's more or less what we've done so far to handle such threads :D

How about an International Help forum that's foreign-language only?

I think if you're making an etiquette you should add an area just for the explanation of rules...and make it painstakenly obvious.

Some title like: NEW? CHECK THIS OUT FIRST etc...

Personally, I don't think I ventured into the announcements forum until maybe 7 months after I joined the forum and it's obvious that many people do the same thing. Soo many members clearly haven't seen the rules before.

I suggest making such a forum where you could include the rules/etiquette and basic guides that would help newbies that they'll actually notice.

/two cents for the day.

The rules are the first thing you see when you sign up.

However, I also want them listed under the header, centred, in a nice big easy to see link.

Heh, and you think everyone reads that when they're signing up? That's like assuming they read a 'Terms of Agreement'.

The header Idea sounds excellent.
