They'd still have to monitor it. And you're assuming no one would abuse it.

So, let me get this straight...
I'd like to see a forum on Video Opinions- like a disseration on what makes a particular vid good or bad.
A forum which has posts about what makes videos good, what you like about certain videos....

You are describing General AMV. That's what the forum is for. It's not always used for that but posts discussing these topics when made are supposed to be posted in that forum.

Well, i downloaded a ton of videos in the past few weeks, and a lot were crap-ola. If there was a single thread based on an individual author or vid, then it would make selecting vids a lot easier.

BTW, Flint, aside from you being a dead dwarf and all, your What romance entails was good. What music was that?

The point is, no one really sez "here's my vid, let's have an open discussion on the good and the bad. additionally, a lot of the more established editors barely post in the forums.

If you want to discuss a video, there's this wonderful tool called email. There's no need to drag it into the public view.

That's part of being a mod. Active forums need active mods. Demonseal isn't nearly as buisy as I remember the OT being and it's got at least two mods for each forum. If the mods feel overwhelmed, get more mods. I'd be happy to do it, and I'm sure there's many others who would too. I'm not saying that the current mods are lazy, just that they can get overworked.

I still haven't seen a valid justification for a new forum in this thread. It is a moot point to discuss solutions to problems that don't currently exist.
My favorite video: Grilled Steak Trigun I LOVE THE COPS! Rargh!

If you're looking for a "need" for a forum like that, you won't find one. Hell, we don't "need" any of the forums at all. But that's not the point. The point is that these forums are nice to have, and I believe that a General Site Discussion forum would be a good addition to it. A place where we can just talk about the site/forums in general without having a set topic beyond the site/forums.
