100*1000^2 vs 100*1024^2 bytes... or 4,857,600 bytes (~4.9MB)

EDIT - Thank you derobert. Was in a rush earlier and completely neglected the answer.

the reason why people don't do this is because most amv editors either are hardcore like niotex with a vast library of aging dvds, or they are narutards that just joined 3 months ago that download divx fansubs. Either way, people like me that are diehard Blu-Ray / Blu-Ray rip guys get left in the dust because we are a minority, and as will all minorities it will never change, and people will always fuck things up for us. I'm a minority in a lot of things, religion, politics, sexual preferences, taste in music, taste in food, favorite color, taste in television, taste in movies, clothes I wear, books I read, and I never met anybody as unique as me. I doubt anybody as clueless about popular stuff exists. That's why I'm just waiting for an uberdork like myself to come into my life and stomp on my dick with huge steel toed boots.

If you actually knew how to encode, getting a 720p amv under 100mb would be generally feasible. Actual 1080p anime sources are somewhat rare, but it shouldn't be too hard to get a 1080p under 100 just fine anyway. So instead of dissing others for using SD shows, blame yourself.

I've now worked out a way to rip BDs and edit them on the Mac. So I will eventually be trying this. If there's a source I actually want to edit with in HD...

FLAC audio weights like 20/30 MB for a 3/4 mins song...
...which leaves you with a good 70/80 MB for video track and container header.
