I think the problem is the word choice. The word storytelling or story isn't limiting or doesn't enforce the main idea being "A story unique different from the animes story".
I was thinking of words last night but all I could come up with is "Substance". Not the regular meaning mind you... The philosophical meaning:
10. Philosophy. a. something that exists by itself and in which accidents or attributes inhere; that which receives modifications and is not itself a mode; something that is causally active; something that is more than an event.
b. the essential part of a thing; essence.
c. a thing considered as a continuing whole.
Other problem with that is most people are not writers and have no idea that word has that meaning

. I'm still looking for a word that can describe the main rule but I haven't found one yet other than substance.
We obviously cant use a word that encompasses any storyline thrown together in an amv. Basically what I'm trying to say is using the word "Story" or "Story Telling" as a genre is to vague. We need a word for clarification of what exactly the rule of thumb for the genre is.
"The people cannot be [...] always, well informed. The part which is wrong will be discontented, in proportion to [...] the facts they misconceive. If they remain quiet under such misconceptions, it is lethargy, the forerunner of death to public liberty. What country can preserve its liberties, if it's rulers are not warned [...] that this people preserve the spirit of resistance? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time, with the blood of patriots and tyrants."-Thomas Jefferson
