Re: Art / comic strip contests?
I remember that. I was planning on printing out a screen shot from Euphoria on an envelope and sending it in with two cents in donations. Then next month send in a really crappy stick figure like drawing of the same euphoria screenshot, again with two cents. Then the following month a picture of two pennies with a check for an actual donation and, of course, custom make the check so it looked like a Euphoria screenshot (as long as you got the barcode on the bottom, it's the normal size, and it's correctly filled out banks don't give a fuck; you can make your own checks). I think I got as far as looking around the house for a few envelopes before laziness kicked in...madbunny wrote:It's been done. A while back Phade set up a contest for envelope art with prizes and everything. I think it lasted two months.
Does anybody else remember that?

I'm bringing this back up, cause I think it would be cool and I bet theres alot of people out there that like the idea. If it's not possible then just lock the thread and life will move on.
after all logging on and seeing a funny comic strip, (assuming it's funny) would be cool week after week. I'm positive there are tons of creative drawers out there who could easily draw up a hilarious anime strip for the main page.

Question remains. Why would it have to be here? Have we forgotten about the rest of the internet?

meh oh well, i thought it would be cool to see a winning comic strip on the main page weekly. BTW jazzy that envelope contest is totally different from what I was talking about on the first post.
