yeah but, what if something screws up while your downloading it, and then you have on your downloaded list the video, when you actualy dont have it.

Personally, I don't think that's a problem (just download the rest of it...) but AD does... Someday, it'll be fixed.

I've been told that it could be used abusively.. that IS true... there's a couple problems now that I think about it.

1. People could check off a bunch of videos and just give them all 1's, thus bringing down all the star ratings. It'd be easy to do, and I would bet there's someone mean enough to do it.

2. If you make it so that you can check it off, but not add a star rating, that defeats the purpose of having to give it a star rating if you've downloaded it already. This isn't SO bad, considering a lot of vids have remote DL links, and when people download using those, they don't give star ratings... but still, I guess this could be seen as a con.

3. Lets say that it's introduced, and you could check them off just so they wouldn't show up on your suggestion query list, you're again not giving a star rating, and thus hurting the suggestion query's accuracy. Hmmm...

So yeah, I can see how it'd be a pain in the ass either way.

I've personally argued that I'd prefer someone to say "this didnt download right/this didnt playu right" and skip giving a score than to give someone an incorrect or bad score.

That'd just get them automatically added to the star scale ignore list (yes, that's even implemented).

Not really. It's more that you'd be failing to help the suggestion query's accuracy.

Yebbi, got two or three vids recently which did not work with any of my Players, would have loved to be fair and stall their judgement... unfortunitly no option provided
