Apparently you did not read rule number 2, which implies that such posts would obviously NOT be deleted.

The rule against pirated software/anime should probably be specifically mentioned as well. Some things can't be repeated enough.

Is this list going to be consolidated and stickied to the General AMV forum at any point?

To ensure that new forum-goers read this, perhaps you guys could switch the forum registration so that a moderator has to authorize a new account before they can post. In order to be authorized you have to read the introductory post and answer two or three questions or something like that, and then you get posting access...

More forum etiquette is an excellent idea. However I recommend don't go nuts or overboard with the rules. We don't want to make the forums completely non-fun. Just to clean up some of the trashyness would be nice.

or what the programmers could do is code the site so that when people register they ask if there broadband or not if they are show the pictures on the forums, if not make the [img] tags not work.

[paizuri: Shoot, I meant to split this post to this thread too. =/ Oh well, it's quoted anyway.]

Yes, when it's done it shall be posted in whole and in pieces to quite a few places on the forum.

Seems like it's more trouble than it's worth. People who are apt to break/not follow the rules will still ignore them but they may answer the questions right and still be allowed posting access. And unless the questions are changed on a regular basis, it'd be an easy thing for them to just sign up under a different name and answer the same questions again.

I think people who post here in foreign languages might not have the english skills needed to understand the rules...

Also, if, for example someone here comes with a very bad english, saying he/she needs help and is french, I personally would reply in french, with an english translation of my answer...

We have several active/trusty members here who speak foreign languages very well, it would be sad not to take advantage of this situation, and to lock a topic only because it's written in german, french, spanish or whatever...

I am volunteer to tell to people who write in french that they *should* write in english, but if they can't, well...
