Anime Review Section?

I totally agree. A review section would be awesome! Obviously, an objective viewpoint would be the highest priority.

The first thing that popped into my head was a poll-like structure. Let me give you an example: The forum is polled on a particular anime. Let's take Trigun. That way you get both positive and negative viewpoints: Too funny, stupid, awesome, etc... Take, say... 5 good dissertations. I think Otohiko put it best in his OP thread; Functional, working OPs. The ones that have the best merit (Vote good, vote bad, vote meh, whatever) could then be tabulated into, say, a 5 or 10 post review of said anime.

That'd be nice. Because generally in my reviews, I don't usually put that stuff in them or break down ratings per category. But putting a number in a box is nice and quick (and easy for lazy people).

Why even bother to put a word limit on it? Just because a review is short, doesn't mean that it's not helpful.

True. But, AD and Paizuri mentioned before, that they someone would either look at a review before it's put up to make sure that it's okay, or have a list of already approved reviewers, which would make the word count rahter irrelevant.

True, but it begs to reason, how short and stupid can you make it before they will reject it? What if people purposefully write a "troll" review in such a way that the people checking might not realize it. What if someone rights their honest opinion, but its so far from the norm that it 'appears' to be a troll review. In the end, it doesnt really matter in the slightest, just something to argue about.

Personally, I don't understand the need for anime review here, as there are already a ton of sites that are surely more useful for reviews than this could be.
