Yes it was important because it messed up an example... >_>

It is also important to note that there are idiots out there doing stupid things and people who do not do stupid things are the ones getting the short end of the stick.

I am just asking if this choice to ban multiple Os was really needed. Or if banning some idiots may have been a better move.

Oh. Well it took place a while ago. No one that I know of has had a problem with it. I don't think it'll be changed because it messed up one person's post. You posted what you originally meant neway.

So I should be banned? I'm not saying people should do this, I've never done it before. I think you take your letters too seriously, guy. :?

There isn't much reason for posting more than 7 Os unless you're being annoying. It seems alot of people were being annoying with this overuse of Os. My point is to ban the annoying not the Os! It's basically asking the question "can you use this forum in a mature fashion? No? Ok bye then...". It wouldn't even have to be a perma-ban. It could be for like a day or so.

Where's the script to auto-resize the remote avatar and sig images to their proper height? There aren't any. People just bitch that the persons sig or avatar is annoyingly large. If people can't get it through their heads not to be annoying, then ban them...

It's not like we could possibly stop people from being idiots. And banning every stupid person (while it might make the forums... less... stupid) isn't really fair. It's not their fault that they're stupid. And anyway, I find most people annoying. So should they all be banned?

Ok, guys the point is that more effort was put into hacking phpBB to conver the Os to a single "o". Then what could have just been put into telling people to cut it out. Same thing for people typing in :

www.something-awful.com

Altering the link doesn't prevent people doing a girl with pretty eyes or goatsex, or making a TinyURL™ to something-awful. >_> No! It doesn't. What does is letting people know it's not tolerated.

I think phade should have just told people to stop being annoying with the Os, then if people continued to be annoying and causing a disturbance. You're better off without them. :|

Yeah, I see what you're saying but the O's x2323 doesn't happen nemore, as far as I know, so it's no big deal. This was something that was done a loooong time ago and I'm pretty sure Phade and others warned us for being annoying (not necessarily for the ooo's but in general, and I think filling up a post with a bunch of O's and stupid smiley faces falls into the category called "annoying", we ignored the warnings and look what happenend right? sometimes a post telling someone to shutup doesn't work all the time).

I'm thinking this might have been better brought to attention before the downage of the Off Topic forums (not that I care). And with banning, I'm thinking PM them with the situation and where they stand, if advice isn't taken. Ban them into oblivion.
