colabs and meps, about opinions

Just curious, so hits on a mep are grouped together from all partcipents, and opinions only show up on the person's op avg if THEY got the opinion directly, what about stars? : /
And why did you do the opinion thing with meps and colabs the way you did, y not a shared op system or something? Just curious.

I think the everything is fine the way it is except for the QC's for MEP's... I'd like to be able to view the QC's an mep receives even if I wasn't the coordinater. Bugs the crap out of me cause I wish I knew what people were saying about it. I can just go and check out opinions on my own time. I honestly don't care about the ratings just what people have to say anyways, which is why I want to be able to view QC's

I've never been a part of a MEP before but I can see why you'd be bothered by that. Like Eva-Fan, I couldn't care less about ratings, but the reason for whatever ratings I get (aka what people have to say) is very important. And many people do care about ratings, so they're probably even more annoyed.

I think the reason for the system to be like this is simply the fact that MEPs didn't exist when the site was first started (in fact, their big boom is very recent) so there wasn't a special system for them (which is why users other than the uploader are still "collaborators" when you catalog a video) and no one has bothered to change it.

On the stars, I'd imagine that they'd just function like ops . . . although since they aren't averaged up for a creator, just the video, it wouldn't matter too much.

To answer your other question: I have no idea. I'm not even positive on who programmed it in (although I woud presume phade).
