uplpading videos

I've been trying to upload a video for a couple of hours now and read a bunch of threads and tried the how-to, I've with a couple of different FTP programs and Filezilla is the one I've been able to get the farthest on, but it still gives me a error message which is:

Error: Transfer channel can't be opened. Reason: A connection attempt failed because the connected party did not properly respond after a period of time, or established connection failed because connected host has failed to respond.
Error: Could not retrieve directory listing
Command: REST 0
Error: Timeout detected!


Can anyone help?

never seen that error before...lets start off with the basics.
if you have a firewall, make sure that it's disabled or set to a low/filesharing setting.
this also included programs like peerprotect.

if you are connecting to the internet through a router, it may have a built in firewall, you should either disable it for the upload, or use port forwarding to allow the information through.
if neither is possible, try using passive mode (edit, settings, connection, firewall settings)

you should also check to see that the keepalive system is active (edit, settings, connection)

I think I finally got cuteFTP to work, I guess I'll just see once I try and confirm the video ^_^ thank you for the help though!

haha, after all that trouble of trying to upload the video, I can't even have it cause it uses Evanescence's My Immortal.... sometimes I think the world is out to get me -_-

Just for the record, that error meant that the upload server at .org was down.
