I am having this EXACT same problem that CherryPhoenix (LOL, I find that a bit ironic) is having except mine is with Winamp.I do have windows media player as well but prefer at the moment to use winamp. So, if someone can kindly tell me was to why I can only hear audio and get on video, I would greatly appreciate it. THANKS!I downloaded it ok, it seems, its happily chilling in a folder on my desktop. However windows media player refuses to play it as a video clip and only plays it as a audio. its properties are video, and everything...

Read the forum rules first of all. Then try browsing the site a bit more till you find how-to guides. One of them has information on getting the video to play.

Alright, I thank you for the advice, but the How-to-guide I found was for Windows Media Player, which I do not want to use. And I also refuse to download yet ANOTHER media player (VCL).Orwell wrote:Read the forum rules first of all. Then try browsing the site a bit more till you find how-to guides. I did browse the help section and FAQ's, found that my question was not answered and posted.
If this is about the size of my signature, I am working on that and will get to it when I can.

I use k-lite full from http://www.free-codecs.com/ with, generally, great success, though I've had varying reports from people ranging from great to was a huge pain in the arse to deal with and involved multiple un/re-installs. I find it takes some tweaking to perfect for your system, but what it has to offer means that I can play just about any file I find online. After installation and you have the latest winamp, you need to add it to the output as well. Preferences>Plug-ins>input>Nullsoft Directshow Decoder and then add whatever container the file is in. I just stick whatever I've come across since even if its not quite appropriate, it doesn't hurt anything. I've got "MPG;MPEG;M2V;AVI;OGG;OGM;MKV;MKA;RA;RM;RAM;QT;MOV;MP4;FLAC"
As far as the original post, a lot of times its just people too lazy to search for information already on the site somewhere.
