Wondering if this is legal [using Clerks:TAS as footage]
I made an AMV of the show Clerks. I know the site says its only for japanese anime, but the video I made has some of the episode where it was "drawn by korean animators" and has a anime look to it. So Im just wondering if it would be ok to upload it.

Yes, it may be sub-Contracted to Korea, so as long as it's controlled by a Japanese company for the Japanese market... If it's made and controlled by a Korean company or subcomtracted by another country there, then it's not defined as amineBasharOfTheAges wrote:the_nataku: Over half of all American animation is done in Korea. It's a cheep, exploitable labor source. That doesn't make it anime.
And yes, there are a few exceptions for games, etc, but this is the general definition that this site works under....

Even the Japanese farm out a lot of the inbetween work to Korea, so I don't think that statement above is entirely accurate.Vlad G Pohnert wrote:Titles must be made in Japan under the control of a Japanese company and be animated using traditional cell painting, CGI, or a combination of the two and must of premiered in Japan prior to being shown elsewhere.
