Two Ideas (Subscribe and Fan option)

While I was navigating on YouTube , I found two options that might be useful to this site (since they stole us the amvs, why can’t we steal their ideas? :lol: )

The first one would be a "subscribe to this user videos" option in the profile; so we'll get a notification email every time the subscribed user posts a new video. I have many favourite editors and it’s rather difficult to check everyone’s profile to see if they have a new video.

The other one is the "Fan" option, that maybe would be good to put it in "Edit my videos" section near the star average. I think it would be cool to know how many users have your video in their favourite top 100.

What do you think? :D

I really like the idea for the "Subscribe to User" feature, and the "Fan" idea would be alright, too.

I think both of those ideas are part of the Fan Management stuff that has so far gone nowhere...

Yea, those ideas have been floating around basically as long as this site has been in existence... just no one has written the code for them yet.

Just what we need, a tool to encourage people to be overly concerned with popularity. :roll:

This on the other hand is a great idea. Getting an e-mail notifying you of a great AMV would be sweet, especially for people who are not as active as they used to be. :x

I really like this idea and if i knew anything besides basic C++ coding i would make an attempt at making this.

And i agree Pen-Pen that is another way for ppl to be overly concerned with their popularity.
