I know this topic's "fraying at the edges" a tad, but I wanted to chime in.
Why not allow other opinionators of the subject AMV to rate their fellow opinionator's opinions with a "useful only" perspective? This seems to work well for the reviews on anidb.net. I personally like to go back and see what others thought of the AMV I opinionated. This could be coupled with the word count to possibly provide a more accurate usefulness score. It also might give people insentive to try harder to provide a more constructive opinion. Perhaps an additional effect and function of this would be to make the most useful opinion viewable to those who have not given the AMV an opinion yet. This would provide even more insentive to write an effective opinion.
