Drives do die. A good question is, does it show up in the BIOS drive list?

You, sir, are the sort of immature asshole who deserves a lynch mob, only instead of being lynched your flesh would be dissolved by slow-acting flesh-eating bacteria as the lynch mob shakes salt over your wounds.bum wrote:I can barely manage to delete explorer.exe of college computers

I don't believe magnets have any effect on blank CDs. A microwave, on the other hand...Emma Iveli wrote:You guys are right, also my family is begging to think that magents were exposed to the blank CDs, how you may ask I think my CD players head phones were up there for a while for some reason they have magnet in them... is that comon?
My advice is that you should take your computer to somebody who actually knows what they're talking about, because I don't think any of you do.

CDs (and DVDs) are optical media --- they aren't affected by magnets.*Emma Iveli wrote:You guys are right, also my family is begging to think that magents were exposed to the blank CDs, how you may ask I think my CD players head phones were up there for a while for some reason they have magnet in them... is that comon?
*OK, if you expose them to 100T they might be affected. But then again, I'd like to see you obtain a 100T magnet... Considering the Lawrence Berkely National Laborator's world record magnet was a mere 14.7T. Oh, yeah, and "several tons."
