Does downloading work on Macs?

Post by StarlightMaker » Sun May 15, 2005 4:44 pm

Hi everybody! I'm new to the site and I have a Mac! I did look onto the FAQs but nothing really showed up and I think this will be a faster wat to ask my questions. :D

I also looked on the "guides" section and that still led me nowhere because it said to download, you have to use the left key button and I only have one button because I have a Mac!!! It did also say that there is a two week waiting period... what does that mean?! Do I really have to wait two weeks? That's too long!

One more thing: What's the difference between "direct" and "local"? What does it mean when it says "no"?

Thanks for any help!

With a Mac, substitute "click" where the FAQ says "left click" and "Ctrl+click" where it says "right click." The one button on a Mac mouse operates as a left button.

The guide is a little out of date. It used to be that new members needed to wait two weeks before they could download videos from LOCAL links. There is no more waiting period, and you can dowload videos immediately.

A LOCAL link is where the video is stored here on the servers at AnimeMusicVideos.org. A DIRECT link is where the video is stored on the user's own web or FTP site.

If it says NO, that means that the creator of the video has not made it available for download yet. If you want a copy, you should contact the creator directly.

Okay... So what you're saying is that I can't even download the AMVs onto my computer?! I have to watch them online? And, I tried the whole: "Control + click" thing and it's the same as holding down the "click" button, LOL! I did try that but, it still didn't really work. But, I'm probably just doing it wrong!

Thanks for your help!

Yes you can download the videos onto your computer. I have a Mac and I have never had any problems downloading.
You could be doing something wrong.
