Deleting from server problem...
I uploaded a video and later found a host to directly link it so I requested a deletion of my local file of the video which was denied. Later on a found some small glitchs in that video and now the local link is dated because I uploaded the newer version. I went back to request a deletion but now it shows history of my previous request and doesn't have that video in the drop down menu anymore. Am I stuck with the dated link? Thanks.

I remember reviewing that request... twice. Both times you say you have provided hosting for your videos and that you want to free up space on the org by deleting the local file. You never mentioned glitches in the video file. I would probably have deleted the local file if you initially mentioned that you wanted to upload a fixed copy. However, based on the request history, I'm skeptical that if I did delete the local file that you would upload a fixed version.

OH hi, yea I requested deletion before because I got a host but that was before I went back and re-edited the video. I was reluctant to upload a mv because I thought that u can only replace it once. so if a glitchy version was up u would be stuck with it. I have currently went over all my videos and I'm completely satisfied with them. Not one glitch amongst them. I'm currently uploading the final products. hopefully I won't fine anymore glitchs in the future. I'm a perfectionist with my amvs and I'll catch the tiniest error. I won't have enouigh time to reupload Champions tonight since I'm currently upload my other two videos to the local servers but I will send in a request as soon as the other two are uploaded.Corran wrote:I remember reviewing that request... twice. There isn't really a hard limit of the number of times you can re-upload a video. Its more a matter of if it seems reasonabe or not --- if you request to upload a new version every day, the volunteers handling those requests are going to get annoyed and tell you to finish the video before uploading. OTOH, if its a year later, I don't think that'd be a problem.ar91207 wrote:I was reluctant to upload a mv because I thought that u can only replace it once.
Just be respectful of the time the volunteers put into it, and I don't think you'll have an issue.
