Somethin' is messed up...and I want answers

Post by Yami no Geemu » Sun Mar 27, 2005 9:29 am

Awright, is this just me, or has anyone else noticed this? Today I was trying to download vids as I usually do, they were "local" linked and everything, and this has never been a bother before. Yet everytime I tried to download one, instead of the download box popping up like usual, this AOL viewer window would show up and begin loading the video on it. And this happened on a bunch of different vids I tried to DL today, so it wasn't just one. Is this some sort of new site thing? If so, I don't like it, I want to be able to download the AMVs onto my harddrive to watch whenever I want, not only when I'm online and have an hour or two to spare while the stupid thing loads on the viewer. (Which, I never have.) This is even the case with my own videos, which I was able to download without any trouble just a few weeks ago.

Will someone please explain to me what's going on? Why can't I download the AMVs to my harddrive anymore? Is this happening to others, (especially other AOL users?), or is it just my computer being a brat? (It IS running a bit low on GB space, but I can't see how that would be a factor.)

Any help would be appreciated, thanks,

-Chey (Yami no Geemu)

I have no idea how to fix that because I wouldn't touch any kind of AOL broswer with a 10-foot pole, but I'm sure there is some sort of setting somewhere in your menus that says something like "Always download multimedia content" or "Do not play back media content in browser" or something like that. Try looking around in your settings. If you can't find it, then yeah, switch browsers.
