Upload Question (Smartftp)

I'm using Smartftp to upload my new video. I've watched the tutorials and i've been connected to the server. Anyway, i uploaded the video and when i downloaded it to watch it before i confirmed it it said it couldn't play in windows media player. I then saw that Smart ftp had disconnected from the server while it was downloading for me to watch it. Why wont it play even though its already been uploaded? Do I have to do it all over again?

Do not download the video using FTP to test it. Instead, click on "confirm video". You will be prompted to test it there.

that's where i did test it. But.. i think i've given up on smartftp i'll figure something out later on thanks anyway though.
