Direct Linking problem

The link to my vid: http://www.blacktriadstudios.com/videos/pl.wmv/, works properly, but the site won't let me add it to the video profile. It keeps coming up with this message:

ERROR: Link is not valid: Server - Not Found

Common Problems:
* Protocal required: http://, https://, ftp://
* No closing / at the end of a directory:
http://www.site.com/video/directory should be http://www.site.com/video/directory/
* You just typed the name in wrong.

What's the problem? The 'http://' is there, there's a slash at the end, and the name's right, so how come it won't work? Why can't I add a direct link for my vid?

I tried your link, and it gave me a 404, which would account for the message. Try removing the slash, as below; you only need it at the end of a directory, not the end of a filename.

Actually, I tried that one too, but the same error messages came up, so I added the slash at the end.

The .WMV link that Kai Stromler provided has something strange going on. It's being served as a document instead of an octet stream. I suspect you have a server config issue to work out.

It's strange, though. If the problem's with the server, then how come the link for my first official video was accepted, when it's hosted at the same server as well?

Just give an indirect link.
Make a blank page with the download link on it.
The .org hates wmvs, So I use all indirect links, now.
Plus, it saves bandwidth.
