[Continues to add to *possibly off-topic* admin quandry]
It truly is at the discretion of the admins. Anything that they do is for the better interest of the org. They have been vested with the responsibility of running the site, and that is that. It isn't any users' call to question their wisdom, they've been given charge with their jobs for good reason.
[On topic, *sigh of relief*]
They protect the interests of what the org was founded for. Be thankful there is a local server, and use it within their guidelines. By human nature, not everyone is going to be in 100% agreement to the definition of anime that ultimately has to be used to determine what is relevant for upload.

I'm also a MOD somewhere else and god does it take patience.
Especially when faced with extreme stupidity.
As for the MOD & ADMIN here, they're alright and I commend their work.
MODs get cookies.
