File Downloads showing on bottom of screen

I couldn't find a place to put this so I put it in here. In all sites but this site my File Downloads for zip files dont open a window anymore it says they're downloading on the bottom of the internet explorer window in the status bar. I've tried resetting my Internet Settings and reinstalling Internet Explorer 6 and nothing has worked doesn't anyone know how I can make it open up the window again when i click to download(Not save target as) so where it asks me if i want to open, save, cancel, etc.

If I had to guess, somewhere in time you told IE to always execute a certain option (such as opening streaming video in the stupid window or in the crappy player), and it remembered. Unfortunately, I know close to nothing about the workings of IE. I would suggest you go here and look for the answer there.

ya i forgot to say i did that, i was trying to figure out why some ppl see my leech page when they're trying to download stuff off my site cuz i have hotlink protection.

ok i got it to promt again but something happened and i had to read zip files and i cant find the icon so now i had to choose a different icon than the folder with a zipper
