deletion bug

Post by ZeWrestler » Wed Jun 23, 2004 2:16 pm

hey,

i had a couple videos deleted a little while back. i just noticed some bugs that occured to deletion. they are small ones, but i thought i would point it out.

1) Videos show up on my favorites videos list still. In addition to that, if i click the link to the video, i can find the old information page about the video.

2) The opinions that were given to those videos are still reflected in my profile. I counted how many opinions my videos that are currently in my profile have. There is an 8 opinion differance between the total number of opinions there and the total number of opinions the site says i have when i click on the my opinions page.

just thought i would point these bugs out.

Yeah, that's because video info isn't actually deleted, it's just hidden. At least that's why the video info page still works. There should probably be a note on the page to that effect.

I'm not sure if they should be hidden off the favorite videos list. [edit: A note on that list saying the video has been hidden probably makes sense, though.]

I didn't think videos with opinions were supposed to be deleted... If think those opinions should show anyway; after all, opinion writers often put a lot of work into their opinions and we shouldn't just make that vanish. [edit: Same thing about a note.]

basically when i was new to the site i entered a bunch of videos that wern't mine. (I just had them recently deleted for that reason.) If possibly, i can name the creator of one of the videos so the opinions can be transfered to his/her acccount.
