"Raking" will just post the videos in your personal Top100 list.
"Star Ratings" are quick 1-5 ratings you give the videos you've downloaded via LOCAL links (a bit unfair that they can't be given to DIRECT or others too, IMHO, but it'd be tough to keep track of the other-server downloads with the same no-more-than-10-pending); when you've downloaded but not yet given stars (1-5) to 10 videos, you'll need to give them these quick ratings to be able to download more. Once you're under 10 pending, you should be able to download again. Think of it as a way to give something back without being a total leach (other than donating of course); a quick-and-dirty way of giving <i>some</i> feedback if your not writing a full op.

Might not be feasible to have a slot for "Star Rating" on the ops form, as not all videos are 'Star' capable (only local, not direct or indirect), but may be an idea to throw out there...
I try to give the stars the same day I download/watch -- not always <i>right away</i> since I tend to download from places other than my 56k dialup (library open-wireless ports, etc.), but pretty close. That way I tend not to get more than a small few (3-4 roughty) as "pending" at a time.
