Hi *hopes not to get shot* I used to browse a-m-v.org a long time ago before the major site overhaul... anyway, just came back beacuse I wanted to download a couple vids I saw and loved when I was at Katsucon. Most of them are unfortunately local downloads (I've waited the requisite time before attempting to download.) I'm on dial-up blah blah so yeah I'm not connected long enough to get something that large though the default IE downloader. Is it possible to get FlashGet to download these files? I've been using it and like it better than GetRight. It usually just scoops up a download automatically which is nice, but for some reason it doesn't work here. I'd need to somehow figure out the direct link to get it to work which I can't get to show up for local downloads.
I've heard people mention Opera but I'd really rather not download yet another browser just so I can download a couple files. Right now Netscape seems to be downloading them okay and I assume it resumes since it has a pause option but I'm not sure? I'd prefer to get it working on FlashGet anyway since its faster and easier.
Any help appreciated. Thank you for your time.
Resuming local downloads? FlashGet?

Download accelorators = very bad
Programs like DAP, FlashGet and GetRight = don't work with Local
Opera and Mozilla = the best known browsers to resume files. After you try one or the other, you'd like them over IE. I tried Opera and now I only use IE for the FTP capabilities (FTP programs and my computer = no).
To get rid of the banners on Opera, you need to pay them. But, it doesn't matter what length of time you have it, it just keeps that banner there and constantly says "BUY OPERA TO GET RID OF THIS BANNER". Mozilla is just plain free with some nifty plug-ins. Either one works, and they're free except for what I mentioned above
